The next type of knowledge base programming is machine readable. With a computer readable form you can apply automated deductive reasoning because they contain a set of data and rules to regulate the data. In most cases, classical deduction is used to reason about the knowledge in a knowledge based program.

What is best about a knowledge based program is that it is usually written with the best articles, information retrieval systems, and structure. More importantly, a knowledge based system is typically kept up to date with the latest information. Each system has its own structure, which may use ontology to specify the structure and classification.

When you have a knowledge based system to extend and query the depth of information that you have available, you have a useful source that can not only be effective, but also efficient. What most people do not realize is that the methods and techniques that are applied is the same as Artificial Intelligence. AI is often related to the core components, which are knowledge based and inference mechanisms.
